Five-In-One Website Earns Creative Award For London Communications Agency

London, ON – The international Summit Creative Awards competition has recognized Marketing Strategies & Solutions of London, Ontario as a 2011 winner in its Business-to-Business website category. The award was presented for the firm’s development of a new integrated web presence for the Timberland Group, of Woodstock, Ontario.

Over the past 17 years, the Summit International Awards organization has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of creative excellence. The Timberland website was one of thousands of submissions from 22 countries. The Summits are known for specializing in recognition of outstanding work by small and medium-sized creative studios around the world.

Marketing Strategies & Solutions was contracted by the Timberland Group to create a new website that would integrate its corporate website with its four operating divisions. While each Timberland division has earned a global reputation for engineered products in its own right, senior management believed that more opportunities could be opened by demonstrating the potential for shared resources and knowledge across their varied specialties.

Bringing them together was very much a collaborative effort between our team, the Timberland staff and their hosting service.”

The new website allows each Timberland company to keep its original web address, while providing visitors with consistent navigation menus. A shared project library allows visitors to view work completed by all of the Timberland companies within a chosen industry.

SCA AwardAdeland notes that the integration process required his staff to write new text and create new content to maintain a consistent tone and brand story through all sections of the website. Early on, dialog between Timberland and the agency also led to the development of a new corporate logo and, later, a new corporate brochure to support the web presence in print for a completely integrated approach across various communication vehicles.
